Short one today.
Someone told me to read Psalm 23 when I wake up and Psalm 91 before I sleep. Good advice. Life-changing, even.
But most of the people sharing it never read what’s in those chapters. It’s not soft.
Psalm 23: a meal set down while your enemies stand there watching you eat. “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.”
Psalm 91: not a lullaby. A war prayer. “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”
Free letters stay free. The founding tier is how some readers carry the whole load. Either door is open. "Stand With the House"
A shepherd for the valley in the morning. A shield for the night.
Read them anyway. Out loud. Both ends of the day. Just know what you’re praying when you do.
