Last night was everything.
Our daughter was absolutely stunning.
Our new son-in-law looked so handsome and carried himself with such love & tenderness toward her that this mama’s heart could hardly take it.
The candles lighting her walk down the aisle were beautiful, casting a warm glow through the sanctuary as she made her way toward the next chapter of her life.
One of the most moving moments of the entire evening came just before the message, when a chorus made up of our most beloved church family sang Complete in Thee. All our voices filled the room in a way that felt almost heavenly.
I don’t think I will ever forget it.

Our pastor brought a beautiful message, the families gathered, tears were shed, prayers were prayed, and by the end of the evening two young people stood before God and entered into a covenant that will shape the rest of their lives.
There is so much more I want to say.
So much to reflect on.
So many moments that deserve more than a few hurried paragraphs.
But that will have to wait a day or two.
For now, we have a sanctuary to clean, a mountain of laundry to conquer, a few more tears of joy to cry, and I suspect enough exhaustion to sleep for the next ten days.
