Yesterday, I wrote about spiritual blindness and then did a livestream that afternoon (it’s up; it was recorded). I spoke about the strong delusion of following your heart once you become blinded to the book.
I’ll never forget being involved in heated debates about whether the bible code was real or if evolution could be disproven with the human eye or the complexity of reproductive systems. Like someone addicted to the news/current events, I was like a rabid dog ready to bite.
My own walk with Jesus was irrelevant to what was happening around me in others’ lives. Paul wrote about “evil surmising”
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,—1 Tim. 6:4
I would never have identified myself with someone who was proud. Especially with someone who knew nothing. But I would have to admit my life was filled with envy, strife, and railing, and especially evil surmising.
This was because I was saved but spiritually blind, and I wasn’t growing. Things like Noah’s ark would have gotten me into heated debates, and I would have gone on tangents about it, but in light of God’s Word, I now see it doesn’t matter. Jesus, in His parable about the rich man and Lazarus, said that if one were to come back from the dead, they would not believe.
“If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.” Luke 16:31
To be spiritually blind is to be unable to understand and, more importantly, walk in the Scriptures to have light and sight.
That is why I am so passionate about this topic and why I will be writing on it for the next several days.
I have also started giving away a guide to new and old subscribers to show my appreciation to you guys for taking time out of your day not just to read my stuff, but to make a commitment to yourselves to get into the book.
This publication has been a battle, and I mean that every week I deal with issues, and simple things turn complex. I can only attribute that to spiritual warfare. So, I want to double down and say I appreciate every one of you. Your prayers and your support; this publication runs on the support of the readers.
If you can, and you are not yet a subscriber, I would sure appreciate it if you became one. I am still running 2.50 for a month and 30 for a year. I feel strongly that we are in a spiritual war. And we need to get the truth out as fast as possible. If you can support the work more with a one-time gift, the link is here: one-time gift. I had to set a price because people were trying to use it to test stolen cards.
