Thursday. 2:17 in the morning.
Somebody picked up a phone in the dark and gave.
I was asleep. I found out after sunup.
I do not know what 2:17 looked like at their house. Nobody is up at 2:17 because things are fine.
I do not like asking. I said that out loud yesterday. Asking for money sounds like grifting to me. So I wrote a thousand words about a plane I missed and put one ask at the bottom, where a person could scroll past it.
Some of you did not scroll past it. Some of you answered in the dark.
A woman asked me to pray that God would send her a godly man for a husband, one who loves the Scripture and loves to pray. A man in Maryland asked me to pray for his son. Addiction. Then he said he was praying for mine. A dad in Georgia asked for one thing: that his family would finally accept Christ. A man in Bakersfield asked for prayer against strongholds, and for forgiveness. Someone asked for a daughter in the military, that she would find people who praise God. A plumber in Nigeria asked for a helper so he could get to Canada and work.
