What Does the Bible Say About Numerology?

Numerology promises hidden meaning in numbers. The Bible says God already counts: stars, generations, years. Here is the difference, KJV only.

By Dead Hidden Team

Numerology promises you a code.

Your birthday means something. Your name adds up to something. 11:11 on the clock is a message.

Millions of people check angel numbers every morning. Most of them grew up in church.

So what does the Bible actually say about it?

Two things. Both of them will surprise you.

First: God counts

The Bible is not embarrassed by numbers. It is full of them. On purpose.

"He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names." Psalm 147:4

God counted the stars. Named each one.

Jude counts a genealogy out loud:

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these..." Jude 1:14

The seventh from Adam. The Holy Ghost counts generations and tells you the count.

Luke 3 runs the family line of Jesus backwards. Jesus to Adam. Adam to God. Count the names. Seventy-seven. The list ends on God.

Genesis 5 records that Noah's father died at 777 years old. Five years before the flood. His grandfather Methuselah died the year of the flood itself. The chapter hands you the math. I walked through it in what 777 means in the Bible.

Numbers in scripture are not decoration. They are a signature.

Second: numerology is a counterfeit of that signature

Here is the part the angel number apps will not tell you.

The pull you feel toward meaning in numbers is real. The Bible put it there. The occult did not invent it. The occult stole it.

Watch what God says to Babylon's experts:

"Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee." Isaiah 47:13

Astrologers read the stars without the Author. God dares them to save anybody. They cannot.

Numerology reads numbers without the Author. Same trick. Same ending.

And the law is blunt about the whole category:

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch." Deuteronomy 18:10

Divination. Observing times. Reading omens for hidden knowledge. That is what numerology is. A 30-dollar app version of Babylon.

Is it wrong to notice numbers in the Bible?

No. The opposite.

The Bible commands one count by name:

"Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." Revelation 13:18

Count the number. That is a command. God did not hide 666. He told you to do the math.

So the line is not "numbers are spooky, stay away."

The line is the Author.

Reading the Bible's numbers inside the Bible, checked against the text, is study. Solomon's gold. The seventh day. The third day. Forty days. Twelve tribes, twelve apostles.

Reading your license plate for a message from the universe is divination with extra steps.

The plain answer

What does the Bible say about numerology? It says the numbers were always God's.

He counted the stars. He counted the generations. He counted a dying man's years to the digit.

Angel numbers are a knockoff sold in a parking lot. The real thing is sitting in the book on your shelf, and it does not need your birthday to work.

Stop checking the clock for 11:11. Open Genesis 5 and bring a calculator.
